A venture studio for artists.
The Ori House exists to move funding to underrepresented artists and the societal projects they power — pairing institutions that want to activate capital in art with strong curation, meaningful commissions and activations, and new models of revenue sharing. Ori means “head” in Yoruba: the seat of destiny. We built a house so that an artist’s destiny need not depend on being chosen.
Art, structured like a venture.
The Studio
We co-create large-scale art programs — commissions, site-specific installations and artist residencies — with emerging artists from the Global South and its diaspora. We fund production, carry logistics and fine-art insurance, and design the activation around the work.
Advisory & Agency
We represent the Ori Collective and advise institutions, hospitality groups, property developers and private collectors on collection strategy, cultural programming and the structures that finance art.
Capital
Every program is built to return — through artwork sales and leases, ticketed experiences, hospitality partnerships, licensing and documentation. Proceeds are reinvested into the artists and into technology that lowers the cost of showing their work.
From capital to culture, and back.
Capital in. Banks, development finance institutions, foundations, brands, municipalities and collectors fund a program.
Program built. The Ori House and its artists produce the work — commission, installation or residency — and design the experience around it.
Value returned. Artwork sales and leases · ticketed activations · hospitality premiums · brand partnerships and licensing · documentation and IP.
Reinvested. Into the next artist, the next program, and the tools — like Renderweb — that let the work travel.
Artists are stakeholders in every program. Fair-market compensation, materials, transport and insurance are written into the structure — not negotiated after. Read the Artist Charter.
The Ori Collective
Pioneers of technique and keepers of memory — the artists of the collective embrace new technology while reviving ancient craft and natural materials.
Working With
Build the next program with us.
We are structuring programs for 2027 across Portugal, West Africa and Egypt. If you fund culture, host it, or collect it, there is a seat at the table — and a covenant that says what you’ll get back.
