Thomas Delaroziere
Thomas Delaroziere (b. 1994, Marseille) is a French-Martiniquais artist based in Berlin.
Raised in Martinique's lush, untamed landscapes, his practice centers on oil paintings that evoke the tropical terrain of his childhood—dense jungles, waterfalls, sea horizons, and the subtle trace of human presence.
His impressionist-influenced works explore Genius loci, the spirit of place, seeking to translate the emotional essence of landscapes shaped by memory, myth, and cultural legacy.
With a background in architecture and a lineage rooted in craftsmanship—his parents being woodcrafters—Delaroziere blends intuition with structure. His journey through illustration and storyboarding has further sharpened his visual language.
Currently, he is developing a series on the Jardin Créole as a poetic act of resistance and reconnection—interweaving themes of identity, environment, and ancestral knowledge.
