The Ori House × tenitt:
A New Vision for Art-Led Living
Art as a Portal to Nature and Memory
Thomas’ paintings — textured, expansive, and rooted in nature — introduce a sense of belonging and emotional depth. His residency transformed the apartment into a living environment shaped by culture, memory, and the natural world. The works function not as decoration, but as portals: windows to light, horizon, and the tropical landscapes of the Caribbean.
This approach marks the foundation of our partnership with tenitt:
• Custom commissions that integrate art into the design DNA of each apartment
• Artist residencies that embed creators directly into the spaces they transform
• Curated selections that reflect the cultural identities of the cities tenitt operates in
• Community experiences, including intimate dinners, conversations, and cultural gatherings hosted within tenitt homes
A Partnership Rooted in Culture and Connection
The Ori House and tenitt share a belief that spaces shape us — that the environments we live in can inspire clarity, grounding, and a deeper sense of identity. As tenitt expands, this collaboration places art at the center of their design philosophy, creating residences that are not only beautifully furnished but also culturally alive.
Our first project together launched in Charlottenburg, Berlin, where The Ori House commissioned artist Thomas Delaroziere to create and install a suite of new works drawn from the landscapes of his home, Martinique. Instead of delivering pre-selected pieces, we invited Thomas to let the space itself inform the works chosen and the emotional tone of the installation.
A Dinner That Became a Conversation About Berlin
During the residency, filmmaker Sebastian Brune captured a dinner hosted by The Ori House and tenitt for a group of friends, creatives, and cultural thinkers across Berlin. The evening unfolded into conversations about home, migration, culture, and identity — revealing how art can cultivate meaningful connections between strangers in a shared space.
These moments, paired with Thomas’ paintings, demonstrate the core of the collaboration: living with art, and living through culture.
Designing the Future of Culturally Aligned Living
As tenitt continues its expansion into new neighborhoods and new cities, The Ori House will curate and design a series of signature apartments, each featuring commissioned works by artists from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the global Diaspora. These curated units will offer guests a new type of hospitality experience — one that places emotional resonance and cultural depth at the heart of culturally aligned living.
This partnership reflects our shared vision:
To create spaces where art and design work together to promote wellness, connection, and a sense of belonging.
This is only the beginning — and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.
